God shut it off!

That’s right! I’d been praying the Lord would help me to moderate how much I was on the internet, especially with the new blog design and all that was going into that. I was getting rather wrapped up in making things here “just right”. I wasn’t necessarily neglecting other duties, just not doing anything else in my off-hours (that time between the children’s bedtime and my bedtime) other than mess around on the internet. I was on all sorts of rabbit trails and often not even accomplishing the one thing I set out to do on here when I first sat down.

Tuesday, my phone went out. Wednesday, my internet connection went down. It is now Saturday and we finally have service again, but only because we are patched into another line. Apparently, the cable has been a favorite chew toy of the squirrels of late. We have a mass of trees at the back of the property where the cable runs and according to the man who was here this morning, we could be in for a lot of phone company traffic next week. We don’t own our home, so there is no liability on our part, but the serious look on the man’s face this morning, tells me someone is liable and a whole lot of chopping will be occuring soon. Boo Hoo…I don’t really care to see into my neighbor’s back windows.

So, that’s why I disappeared from cyber-space. God cut me off. That’s one way to learn moderation!
