The Community Box

Once again, something that was not my idea, but something I was so excited to implement, I just had to share!

The Community Box.

What is a Community Box?  Glad you asked!

Imagine all your unloved, unwanted, yet still quite usable items going into a tub that is then passed around among friends {in the “Community”}.  Imagine that box eventually making its way back to you with other people’s unloved, unwanted, but maybe just perfect for you items inside!  It’s resourceful living at its best!

So, grab a tub, grab some stuff, fill ‘er up, find some friends, and pass it on!

Love this idea! I know I usually take things to our DAV (Disabled American Vets) store, but sometimes hand down clothes from the kids.

This is such a great idea. I’m sure I’m not the only one who knows I have things to give away but they are scattered throughout the house. Keeping it in one place is very smart!

    What a great idea!

Our MOPS group has a Care and Share table each meeting for folks to bring or take….free! What is left on the tables each week is taken to a local charity for pregnant women (CARE NET)or Goodwill.
There are things from books to clothes, shoes and toys. Candy dishes and curtains!

    Warm Blessings,
    Georgiann

Love it! My friends and I do this with Christmas decor, but I never thought about doing it year round – duh! Thanks for sharing!
