Wanna See My Blogging Cards and a Giveaway!

You have no idea how many times I have been somewhere and thought, “I should have a business card.”  Not because I’m some sort of somebody, but simply because I want someone to have my email address and scrounging for paper and a pen is not always an option.  My husband uses his business cards for this purpose all the time, and often I’ll just write on his business card if I have a pen handy, but there are many times he’s not there or a pen isn’t handy.

In addition, I am quite often asked about homeschooling or cloth diapers or baby wearing and it would be so much easier to refer someone to the blog rather than try to explain years of information in a quick meeting.

That’s why when Next Day Flyers emailed about doing a giveaway, I immediately thought BUSINESS CARDS!  And since I blog, why not call them Blogging Cards?!  But, I didn’t want just any old card, I wanted something practical, because as a homeschooling mom of many, I’m all about PRACTICAL!  So, I chose…

BOOKMARKS!

What could possibly be a better fit for a bookaholic homeschooling mom?!  I used Photoshop to create a bookmark design that correlated with my blog and NextDayFlyers.com printed them for me!  Aren’t they beautiful!

Next Day Flyers is also providing a $25 gift certificate to one of my readers, but you don’t have to choose bookmarks if you win…here are just a few of the other options you could use your winnings on:

*Birth Announcements – choose a greeting card or postcard option to announce your new little one!
*Business Cards - again, handy for anyone, not just “real” businesses.
*Door Hangers – great way to promote an event.
*CD Covers – for all you budding musicians
*Brochures – great for that new business venture you’ve been thinking about.

You can design your printing job online or create your own using a program like Photoshop or Illustrator and then upload directly to their site.  They generate a preview for you to approve and away you go!

So, how to win?

Leave a comment telling what you would print
if you won the $25 printing credit.

(and you  must be 18 or older to enter)

This giveaway ends Friday, May 7th at midnight CST.

  1. how fun!! i love the bookmark idea. i often get asked ‘where’s your blog at?’ so it’d be fun to have something to give!!

  2. I also LOVE the bookmark idea. We have lots of missionary friends who had bookmarks printed instead of traditional prayer cards. I use them in all of our school books and my Bible. This way, everytime we read, we pray for the family on the bookmark.
And if I won, I would probably choose birth announcements. ;)
(since apparently we are still not headed overseas.)

  3. Those look great! I’ve never thought of having business cards for myself, but you’re right – it’s so much easier to be able to get in touch with people. It would even be nice to have one with a little notes area, so if you need to write down a web address or book name, it’s there with all your info for the person to get back to you. Nice!

  4. My husband and I just took a leap of faith and packed up the family to move and to step into a non-profit ministry. We are excited about what God is going to do for our community! We would definitely print a brochure for the ministry. The bookmark is a great idea too. (I’ve not commented before, but have been so blessed by your blog! Thank you.)

  5. Great giveaway! I would print the same thing you did!

    Blogging Card!

I’m planning on going to a blogging conference in October and will be looking to get some anyway!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    -Ashley

  6. LOVE the bookmark idea, but I would probably opt for blogging cards. :) I’ve been considering getting them for some time now, for the very same reason you wanted them. It’s a pain to dig out pen & paper and write everything down when handing someone a card would be so much easier. :)

  7. I love your bookmark idea–it would work great with my blog because I could include some top money-saving tips for moms. Thanks for the chance to win!

  8. Your blogging cards are fabulous! How wonderful that it makes use of your blog header.
Although I don’t have a need for “business” cards, I like to refer to them as calling cards–as they did in Victorian times. You would leave your card when you went calling and they would use your card as a way of sending you a thank-you card for visiting/calling. Plus, it just helps people remember who you are and where to find you on the web.

    Great idea for a give-away.

  9. I finally ordered business cards for my cloth diaper blog. Love having them! Now when stores request them or WAHMs want to hand them out at cloth diaper talks I can actually provide them with some. Very handy. Besides who actually remembers websites when they get home and have done a million chores??

Oh, I like your bookmarks but I think I’d go with magnets.

  10. I just blogged about this giveaway! That means TWO posts in ONE day for me…a record :D !

I would use the certificate for birth announcements if my hubby and I found out we were expecting between now and the end of the giveaway (there’s always a chance!)

Or I’d use the $25 for “family” business cards…with info like our blogs, info on my hubby’s interim preaching and such!

This is a unique giveaway! I like it!!!

  11. I love your bookmarks. I would either do bookmarks or business cards for hubby.

  12. I LOVE your idea of doing bookmarks!! I do not blog however, and I know bookmarks would get mashed in my purse, so I would be inclined to get business card, if I were to win. I am always trying to get the word out about adoption, foster care, and orphan hosting. Those are the things I would be giving cards out for, I imagine, although occasionally I encounter someone who wants to pick my brain about homeschooling :-)

    • It would probably be good if I went back through and made sure it was a little more obvious when my giveaways were over! lol Thanks for the smile tonight. :)
