Perhaps you’ve noticed how Fridays around here have become rather family oriented. Family Fridays, if you will. 😉
This week, I’d like to share my grandparents with you:
Known as Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa to my kiddos, they are in their 90’s and still going strong. In fact, at my Grandpa’s 90th birthday party back in 2008, he said if he had known he would live this long he would have taken better care of himself! Witty would be an understatement.
So, with pretty active great-grandparents, what do you think might be the easiest way to bridge the generation gap? Why, let the great-grandkids play your Wii, of course!
And yes, that is my husband, the prize fighter. When it was his turn to play, he went at it so hard and fast he ended up knocking the poor Wii guy out in the first round!
And now my children are begging for a Wii. Who needs peer pressure when you have great grandparents with cool toys?

This one rang the bell. I’m writing Generational Fathering and yours seems one of those stories so many wish for. The Generation Gap is probably six wide in your case, from the Vet Generation all the way through to the little yet-unnamed ones. You’d bless us all if you’d post some of the influences GGD is having and what you expect to see of his legacy. I post mine on http://www.gendads.com.

That’s so cool Amy! My great grands are still living so my kiddos have met their great, greats! And same thing, still goinghttp://.blogspot.com/ strong! We have to connect mostly through letters as they live far away, but that makes for great school writing! Unfortunately, they are not believers, so we and the kids are witnesses to them of Gods love and care. I’m so glad He’s in the business of saving! I think this is my first comment on your site, which I love, btw. I’ve been reading for a while and I always come away encouraged, thank you. I’m a mom of three bigs patiently (sometimes not so patiently!) waiting on God for littles after my hubbys reversal in June! Blessings, Jenn
