Because I’ve attended so many over the years, I assumed everyone knew about webinars. However, I’ve gotten so many questions about The HomeScholar Webinar I’m hosting, I thought I had better explain what a webinar is!
A WEBINAR is an online SEMINAR.
That’s the short answer.
The long answer that is specific to the webinar I’m hosting is this:
1. It is a FREE online seminar for homeschool parents from Lee Binz of The HomeScholar, author of The Total Transcript Solution. (not all webinars are free, by the way)
This presentation is phenomenal! You do not need to have children in High School to get something out of this! You do not need to be planning to send your child away to a university or other college to get something out of this! There is so much meat here, you will walk away inspired and convicted to stay the homeschooling course!
2. It will be held at 6pm CST online via a link you receive in an email after you’ve signed up HERE.
3. The night of the seminar, all you need is a computer that has audio and a pen and paper! I like to have earphones or good speakers so I can really concentrate, and Daddy is great about allowing me that time to focus on bringing honor and glory to the Lord through our homeschooling efforts! It’s like continuing education for mommies!
What happens during a webinar?
Good question!
During this webinar, you will be listening live to Lee Binz of The HomeScholar calm your fears concerning many of those “scary” aspects of homeschooling the high school years. You will be able to see her notes on your screen and you will also be able to ask questions via a typed chat feature on the right-hand side of your screen.
So, why should you attend this webinar?
1. You homeschool.
2. Someday you will have children high school age.
3. Someday homeschool grades, tests, transcripts, diplomas, college tuition, financial aid, and the world beyond all of this will be a topic in your home.

What if we can’t tune in at that time, is there the ability to watch it afterwards? Due to timezones, 6pm american is not a suitable time for me to ‘tune in’
As far as I know, this is not possible. I wish it were.
I’m interested and have joined, although it’s going to be a bit of a challenge (being 9-10am here in Australia at the time of the webinar)!! I don’t know how much of it will be appropriate for Australia, but we’ll see!

I’ll try to get you a recording of the webinar for you to post on your website. I don’t like to promise that, because it always depends on the technology cooperating, but that’s my goal. And webinars are very fun to watch – sort of like an elongated youtube video, not scary at all!
