It’s Summer and it’s hot, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a few gingerbread men over for tea. And when I say gingerbread, I actually mean
gingerBREAD!
This is a really easy, fun way to take your tea and entertain the children all without heating up the kitchen!
All you do is take any cookie cutter you have on hand (we just happened to have gingerbread men) and cut out the center of bread slices,
add toppings of your choice
Pour a little “tea” from your finest china teapot
and enjoy a breezy summer morning snack!
{oh, and with the right amount of cinnamon & sugar, they’ll eat the crusts too!}

I loved this post! It shows you help your children take joy in such simple things. So sweet! It brings back memories of when I was growing up. 🙂

Thanks for the wonderful idea! I needed something simple to encourage me to go be a fun mama today (after being up all night!). We did snowmen (thinking cool thoughts, lol) and put turkey and cheese on them. Added a smoothie and had a quick, cool lunch!

I love the pictures! My girls recently informed me that one should never invite a dinosaur to a tea party. Apparently they have very bad table manners. (Just in case anyone was wondering.) 🙂

I’ve picked up a couple of sandwich cutters at Dollar General that cut out 2 shapes without wasting any bread but; Oh Dear, one of them is Dinosaurs!!
The other is Trains.
