It’s no secret I’m a big fan of The Modest Mom. Caroline and I did the She Wears Skirts series early last year after meeting at an event featuring the Duggar family. I needed help learning how to wear skirts with some sort of style sense and Caroline was a wealth of information and a breath of fresh air.
I own several skirts from The Modest Mom, including the Rainbow skirt and brown ruffle skirt above and my new favorite:
This is a black A-line skirt. This skirt comes in a myriad of fabrics! (sorry for the terrible photo, it was super windy that day!) I like the simplicity of this skirt and the versatility as well.
The Modest Mom has also branched out beyond skirts and sells things like Nursing Covers and Modest Shells to put under the blouse you love with the neckline you hate.

I love the Modest Mom’s line of clothing. I have many homemade skirts made out of old jeans that are great for the winter months. Trying to work on getting some spring and summer skirts.

My favorite from the Modest Mom is the Nantucket Long Denim Skirt. I love long skirts but have a hard time finding them as I’m really short.
I just found the Modest Mom Blog a few weeks ago, so I don’t own anything right now, but I wear skirts and her skirts look really nice. Can’t wait for her girls line to come out.

Hi Amy, I am in the process of preparing a 2-3 part lesson series on modesty for the teen/ young adult girls in my church. In the process, I have been amazed at the articles and blog posts I have “accidentally” discovered relating to modesty! It’s been the Lord’s leading, I am sure. Anyway, it seems that you have done a good bit of thinking and studying about modesty, so I thought I’d write and ask that if you have any insights (or have posted any in the past that you could direct me to) regarding modesty that might be helpful as I prepare to teach my girls, I would greatly appreciate it!

khaki for spring. I am fairly well set with a new blue jean and black skirt I got at the thrift store this winter. But my khaki has a stain I could not get out.
You can buy rit dye and dye it a darker color, hides the stain and looks like a new skirt!
