Homemaker’s Planner Giveaway!

Every homemaker needs a way to keep track of her world. There is so much that needs to be done and to do any of it well, you need a plan. That’s where Homemaker’s Friend 2013 Daily Planner comes in!

The Homemaker’s Planner has yearly, monthly, and weekly planning sheets so you can keep track of things at a glance.  Everything is in one pretty little book that makes me smile every time I look at it!

One of my favorite features of the planner is the perforated Shopping Lists at the back.  I keep the planner on my island, so I can easily write down what I need as I run out of things.  Then, you just tear off the sheet and head to the store (I use this for short lists…my longer lists get transferred to Cozi.)

Another favorite is the Task List.  This is a place to write down all those things you need to do that are cluttering up your head.  I’m a pen and paper person, but so often I lose my pieces of paper!  Putting the To-Do’s in the Task List keeps them in one place.

So, what are you waiting for!  Get organized for 2013 (planner starts December 2012) by entering the Planner Giveaway below!

  1. I am a wife, a mother, a homeschool teacher, a farm wife, a gardener, a sunday school teacher, chief cow milker & too many other roles to mention ~ I need something to keep everything organised!!!!!

  2. HI
I am a 53 yr old wife, mother,g.mother and homeschool mom and have not yet been able to keep a planner. My mom never taught me to plan my days and I just have never learned how to keep up with one. I am a mom of 6 children 3 married and have a 16 yr old, 13 yr old and a seven year old at home. I would love to win this planner and I humbly ask Amy to teach me how to use it.
    Blessings

  3. As a homeschool mama who also writes and edits, it’s a necessity for me to stay organized! Throw in my husband’s various doctor/VA appointments, church stuff, and the kids’ activities and life could fall apart without meticulous organization.

  4. This is our first year of homeschooling and I feel totally unorganized! I need some organizational help! (I’m really enjoying your series, by the way!)

  5. I need and woul love this planner to help me organize our days and the many medical appts we have due my son”s illness and mine..

  6. I semi-use a planner. I buy a large desktop calendar and hand it on my fridge. I’m not the best about putting anything except birthdays and appointments on it though. Occasionally I do use it to write cleaning ideas on as well. This planner sounds like one that might function better for our needs.

  7. Oh, how I need something to help get me back on track! Since our house burned down in June, it’s been rather difficult to get our homeschool time back. We lived with my parents for 4 months (hubby, me and 3 rambunctious boys!) and between making decisions about light fixtures and plumbing and cleaning soot covered kitchen items (among all the other things that have to be done!) school has taken a backseat. Thankfully, my oldest is only in second grade, so we have a little more flexibility.

  8. I need this planner because I am a big ol’ mess. Three little boys and homeschooling Kindergarten have thrown me for a loop. :)

  9. I can never keep everything in the same place, menus, grocery lists, plans, they get scattered all over. This planner would help me out!

  10. Hey! I’d love to win this…I don’t really use a planner, but rather tend to leave little lists on scrap paper lying around the kitchen, then then, of course lose them! ;-) Been thinking I should try something better for a while.

  11. I am a new pastor’s wife, a mother of 2 grown children, 2 grown stepchildren and an honorary mom to 3 that don’t have moms in their lives. I have 6 grandchildren and I am an honorary Nana to one little 2 year old and another honorary daughter is expecting a baby boy in March 2013. I love them all dearly! So many details to remember! I am meeting myself coming and going and can’t remember where I am going or where I have been! I do not leave my home without to do lists, where I need to go lists, what I need to buy lists. I would be physically lost without my lists and my GPS! Sometimes my list drives me crazy! So many lose papers! ERRRR. I need this organizer so badly! If I don’t win one, I will be ordering it! I absolutely adore sunflowers and my house is decorated throughout with them!

  12. Hello! I LOVE lists of things that need done or shopping lists. My problem is I write it one list in one notebook then that one gets swiped for my child to draw in then I write another list in anther notebook and that get losts and so and son. I end up with lists I can’t find :) A planner would be a great simple way to keep my lists useful and not lost, lol.

  13. I just love this series! it has help break down the basics of homemaking and homeschooling needed to rethink how to change for the change in our lives. I have looked at this planner for a while and really think its a must( post it notes just are not working anymore). I am currently going through a change in homelife seasons with a move to our new homestead, 2nd baby due in January, homeschooling, and running our two homebased business while hubby is away in the oilfield. the amazing thing is im not stressed about it at all just trying to get it all done. The Lord has blessed us and our dreams are comming true. Im so glad He has led me to your site and series to help give me the tools needed to help figure out all this!

  14. I am revamping my cleaning schedule and planner sheets in my Homemaking Binder. This planner might be just the thing I’m looking for! As always, thanks for your encouragement and motivation, Amy

  15. Having just returned to the U.S. after living 5 years on the mission field in Tanzania, I feel like I’m starting over, somewhat, in household management. This could be just what I need to help me get back on track!

  16. I am entering this contest because I have 7 children and I am ridiculously unorganized and need as much help as I can get!! Also being on a tight budget, I would greatly appreciate winning this contest!!
Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

  17. Every time I see a post like this, I look around my kitchen and say “ugh. I totally need to do this.” Hopefully I can stick with it this time!

  18. My current planner runs out in December – time for a new one! I’ve learned that I just can’t manage my home, 3 children, MOPS group, and church activities without a plan. I’m also terrible at menu planning, so maybe having a specific place for it each day will help make that dreaded task a little easier.

  19. I’m always on the hunt for a good planner that does “it all”. I’m finding all sorts that handles only part of what I need. I got excited when I noticed this had a “menu” spot. :D Then I read further and it has a grocery list too! Be still my heart! :D

  20. I’m a new reader, but so far I’m inspired! I have a small family (only one child), but intend to homeschool. I also work from home. I just finished reading the She Wears Skirts series and while I don’t feel it necessary to wear skirts all the time I do like the idea of wearing them more often. That being said, I followed a link posted in the comments of one of those posts and made a “new” skirt out of 2 old pairs of jeans! I think this organizer would be a great addition to my household, as I tend to lose my lists shortly after I make them. It would also make keeping work schedules and everything else more organized in my poor head!

  21. I need something like this. Between homescholing 4 kids and taking my father to doctors visits and keeping track of things around our little farm and sewing tasks that I have and so much more I need to keep track of this seems perfect!

  22. My current planner expires in December, and I KNOW I can’t keep track of everything for my home, children, MOPS group, church & bills without one! I’m also terrible at menu planning. Hopefully having a spot for it every day will help get me on track!

  23. This is my first year of homeschooling and I have found that being organized isn’t one of my strongest traits sooooo I would absolutely love this organizer and a whole lot of prayer! :)

  24. I would love to win this planner! I am a homeschool mom of three and also in the middle of getting my BA degree in English while trying to get it all together to get into Graduate School. There is no such thing as too much organization in this house! :)

  25. I am so not organized, and it really stresses me out! I need a planner like this to get everything in my head on paper so I won’t forget important events!

  26. I have a planner similar to this one that I found at Big Lots some time ago; it had tear-off sides for a weekly menu, shopping list, etc, but never enough space to write a menu for EVERY day. I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime find for me, but this one may be the one-up! Much more space for each day. :)

  27. My natural personality is supposedly an organized one. However, I grew up in a messy house with a messy family and never really learned HOW to be organized :( I have been looking for a planner or something to help me get on track.

  28. I like the idea of keeping my shopping lists in my planner. It’s never fun when I spend the time writing out a list and then it gets lost!!! :-)

  29. I need to become more organized and I have yet to find a planner that works for me. This one looks AMAZING and I can 100% see why you feature it on your blog! I would greatly appreciate winning this, and owning one of my own if I do not win. Have a wonderful day full of blessings!

  30. I would love a homeschool planner…You can never be to organized! I can use all the help I can get!!!! Thanks for the opportunity :)

  31. I have three boys 7,5 and 6 months)- nothing in my house gets done. I am about to loose my mind over my house and would love to get on track now!!!

  32. I have a baby due next march/april and with homeschooling my other four (and keeping oldest son orgainsed for work!) means I NEED more organising and planning :D

  33. I have been in search of “the perfect” planner for a while… maybe this will help?
    Thanks, Judy
PS I am really enjoying your series! Its very timely for me!

  34. This would be great! I work full time with 3 kids at home and another on the way. My husband had gone back to work after staying at home for 7 years and I need ask the help I can get!

  35. This planner sounds just like what I need. I love the idea of having a shopping list right there on the kitchen counter for easy access when things pop into my mind that I need to get from the store in the next few days. My little pieces of paper with shopping reminders is NOT working! Surprise. ;)

  36. Organization is something I need to work on! I’ve been looking for a good planner. Haven’t found one that is “perfect” yet, so I’m hoping this one will be!

  37. I am probably the most discorganized person on God’s green earth. I need this in the worst way to help me get organized and get a handle on my house, etc. I feel that I have lost control of my home.

  38. I need a planner because I’m a homeschool mother! ;-) LOL! I’ve been trying to put together my own planner for years, with no success. This would be something I’d love to try out!

  39. Good morning! I need a new planner, because mine runs out in December, and I am trying to become a more organized mom (and next year we start homeschooling, so I really better get my act together :-)

    Thanks!
    Nancy

  40. With homeschooling, church, and my thirty-one business I REALLY need a good planner. Would love to give this one a try! I esp like the menu part!

  41. Oh, this would be WONDERFUL! I’m not cool enough for a nifty phone (yet), so I love my paper planners… Still wondering how to best organize my time to better bless my family- this might be it!

  42. I could totally use this next year. Baby 3 is coming in late Nov/early Dec and I’d like to try homeschooling next year for my preschooler. This would seriously help me organize the things I need to do…especially being ADD and not able to take medicine due to pregnancy and nursing for the last 4 years!
    Love your blog! :)

  43. I need a planner b/c I am mommie to 3 kids. I homeschool 2 of them and the other one is in pre-k at a private school and I will begin homeschooling him next year. I am also the bill payer, house cleaner, daisy scout leader, children’s ministry worker at church, and many other things fall under my responsibilities. I have tried a few other planners and they have worked well but I need an all in one. This sounds like it would work for me.

  44. As a stay at home momma to 4 I have been looking for a way to keep me on track and organized in the daily dealings of my home and family!!!!

  45. I need a planner because I am totally a list person… problem is my lists are everywhere. One on the firdge some on the desk, some on the white board and some on the island. I need a planner like this to consolidate it all into one place.

  46. I am totally a list person… problem is that the lists are all over the house. I need a planner like this so that I consolidate the grocery list on the fridge, the to do list on the whiteboard, the immediate list and the schedules all into one handy little book.

  47. I like the idea of planners, just never have been able to stick to one. I have learned to use a calendar, so maybe there is hope for me yet! Thank you for the give away.

  48. I believe a planner will help me out a LOT. I have actually been planning to buy this particular planner, but I may wait until the giveaway is over, just in case. :)

  49. looks like it would be perfect! I love planners and organizers that have things I will actually use – like grocery & task lists.

  50. I am not a schedule person by nature but am realizing that as a homeschooling mom of five, I’d better learn and quick. I often feel overwhelmed at the state of our home and definitely function better in a tidy environment. I would love to pass on good housekeeping skills to my children but need all the help I can get while I learn first!

  51. I NEED something like this, because I cannot seem to get in a good groove that lasts…A few days, or maybe a week max then life is back to “catch up.” I make lists on random pages in a notebook then either seem to lose the list, some little one comes & colors on it:) etc. etc.

  52. I’m always on the lookout for a user-friendly planner! And I’ver learned that if I don’t write it down, it won’t get done. :)

  53. I would LOVE to have this planner. Our household is in chaos right now. I’m working very hard to get it organized and a good routine set up. Having a great planner would sure help out!

  54. I would LOVE to have this organizer!!
Staying on track with tasks and appointments is key. I run/manage my home, homeschool my three children, lead a local homeschool support group and volunteer in my community. This sounds like a perfect way to keep things in order. :)
Plus, I just LOVE, Love, love Sunflowers!!!!
Thanks for the opportunity and for offering such a great item.

  55. Being organized (even a little) brings a measure of peace to the day. God is a God of order and I want to be more like Him each day. This planner might help with that!

  56. “If you fail to plan you plan to fail!” is what my dear husband often tells me.
Let’s just say I need a little help with my planning. :)

I would love to have such a sweet planner. I have so enjoyed this site. Amy, You are a real blessing!
    Thanks!

  57. What a great giveaway! I need to get more organized at home would love to use this planner to help me keep track of everything.

  58. I need a planner to help me get back to being an organized person. I once believe I was until I became a stay-at-home mom, now life is much more chaotic. Definitely need to get the organization back on track!!

  59. Just had my third baby and things are getting really crazy. I need to be a lot more organized so I can keep up with school.

  60. What busy homemaker doesn’t need to be organized. Life can so easily get away from us and to be able to have everything in one place would be nice.

  61. I’m constantly struggling to find the balance between an orderly house and, well, staying halfway sane! Yup, I sure could use a planner.

  62. With 6 kids, our own business, our own ministry and home school, I could def. use something to help get more organized!

  63. I love this planner! I really need something to get organized. Between being a wife, mother, worship leader for church, and international church planter alongside my sweet pastor husband…I have A LOT going on!

  64. Looks like something any mom needs – especially big families.
I am a mom of 8 (19 yrs down to 19 months). Life is busy.
Writing it down and planning can make a big difference.

  65. Would LOVE to win this! It’s so hard to find a planner that suits needs for moms! Love that it has a place for the menu each day!

  66. I need a planner because I have two boys in school and Im about to have my first baby! I will unfortunatly have to return to work at least for a little while after baby comes, so will need something to keep us all on track!

  67. This is my first year homeschooling and I could so use a planner to get better organized. I feel like I’m doing a pretty good job, but there is definitely room for improvement!

  68. I am constantly trying new things to figure out what will work to help me keep organized…I have a monthly calendar, but maybe a weekly plan would help too.

  69. I am a paper and pen organisation person. This would be great to have, right now I am using a regular school day planner, but adding a home planner would be better.

  70. This planner would be great to help consolidate the many lists, charts and schedules that I create. I would love to try this out!

  71. I would love one of these planners. It seems as though I can get my homeschooling organized or my homemaking, but not both at the same time!

  72. I’ve gotten pretty good at meal planning, but other home management… eek. I definitely need some help there and would love to use a good planner! Thank you for this opportunity! :)

  73. Since having my 5th child a year ago who has been a little more high demand and then moving a few months after she was born, I have had such a difficult time getting organized again! This planner looks like a great tool that would help!

  74. Why do I need a planner? Let me count the reasons. :-) We moved across the country last week, far, far away from all family and friends. I started our first year of homeschooling. My 17 month old still wakes 2-6 times a night, so I’m in a constant fog, and I can’t find my old planner. I’d love to win!

  75. This looks like something that would work well for me. I’m trying to get better about planning and writing things down, so I don’t have to carry them around in my head.

  76. I need a planner to keep up with my younger daughter’s multiple doctor and therapy appointments, my son’s Scout activities, and my older daughter’s busy chorus schedule.

  77. I’m a pen and paper girl, too! It helps me to be able to jot down all my thoughts and plan for the next day! Great planner!!

  78. I’ve been looking for a planner just like this. I am intentionally working on being more organized and I think this could be a helpful tool!

  79. I definitely have to write things down on paper still, too! Would love to try a new planner for our family! Thank you, CHRISTA (family of 8)

  80. I wouild adore that beautiful sunflower planner!! I have 5 children and that looks the right size to be portable. I love the perforated corners and when you mentioned the perforated shopping list at the back, I said, “YES!!” What a wise idea. My weakness is organization and planners help folks such as I.
Thanks for the time you put into your blog….I am encouraged to keep pressing on!

  81. I would love a planner like this. I have made my own of similar idealogy, but it pales in comparison! Good luck to all though. I hope the person that needs it mosts wins it.

  82. I honestly think the more babies I make, the more I loose my brains! I have baby number three due Jan 31, 2013 and I’m trying to get organized now before it’s too late and I’m just a complete mess. LOL I leave notes and they go missing! I never have something right there to write down a thing. My husband teases me all of the time on how organized I used to be and how I used to remember things. I told him it is really his fault. Hee hee. Your planner is just the thing to get me into the swing of things… espcially when baby 3 comes! At least my husband will know where to look for everything with no excuse. :)

  83. Hi,
I have really enjoyed your blog for a while now.
I really need a planner! I have had a hard time getting a routine going since we left to Israel and lived there for 8 months. We sold everything thinking we were not coming back. But our Heavenly Father’s ways are not our ways right? His thoughts are not our thoughts,h.He had other plans for us! We moved around until my husband was finally able to get a job again! Then we got pregnant with our first reversal baby(after 6 babies that are no longer with us here ,1 girl and boy known),Praise Yahweh( hebrew name for god)! Now we have a beautiful baby boy Samuel David. He was born 6 weeks early when my water broke in the process of moving! SO we never really got unpacked and I needed to stay with him in NICU for 2 weeks! I also have tow older children I home school. Then we had to move from there about a month later because of problems the owner wouldn’t or wasn’t able to help fix. SO we moved again!SO, Lo and Behold here we are in our new place still unorganized and in desperate need of a plan and routine! Thank goodness I get your emails of so many tips and delicious recipes to take ou some of the hard work when you have a now 5 month old,9 year old and 12 year old homeschooling and baby full time breast feeding and colicky but attached to you all day!LOL I love him and love him with me all day but am in need of getting our life organized and fially planned out!
ps.I tried your delicious autumn recipes: chicken pot pie and pumpkin crunch cake, both were hits in our home! Oh and also the pancakes! would love more posts with recipes!
thank you so much for your ministry!
many blessings to you and your family!
    mary

  86. Goodness…I feel like you are writing this series just for me :D The la’s tcoiple of weeks have been such that I really doubted if I should continue to homeschool…I have been missing the kind of Mom I was and the kind of home I kept before I started full time schooling my bigger kids… thank you for the encouragement to stick with my convictions without giving up hope on a refreshed peaceful home.

  87. Ahhhh…. as a homeschooling momma with three busy kiddos, a military husband, and a business to run, I could use all the help I can get!

  91. I have not been able to get/stay organized since my baby was born…and he just turned a year!!! haha. I’d LOVE any help!

  92. As a new stay-at-home mom and considering homeschooling, I am still working on getting organized. I have yet to find the right system for me, but I’m hoping this planner could be it!
