Join Me For Some Christmas Fun!

This time of year, you’ll find me spending less time with formal homeschooling and more time crafting with the kids, reading Advent devotionals, drinking hot chocolate, and pulling ideas off my Pinterest boards to try.

When the Teach Them Diligently Homeschool Convention announced their week-long Flurries of Friends party, I was excited to join in because this is a company that knows how to keep Christ first and typically offers some wonderful homeschooling packages as prizes.

Today, I’d like to invite you to join me for the Teach Them Diligently Christmas Party!

So, how can you join in the fun?  There are 3 different ways and the prizes are HUGE! (more on that in a moment…)

#1 – Pinterest Party

This was something brand new to me, but I had a blast creating this board on Pinterest!

Basically, you create a board just for the party (you can look at mine for ideas) and you pin things to it that show what you think a fun day of fellowship with other homeschooling families might look like (I made mine a snowflake theme – I even included what I’d wear using Polyvore, which my daughter had to explain to me!)

To qualify to win the contest, you do have to pin at least one speaker from the Teach Them Diligently lineup and at least one product from Apologia (they are co-hosting the party) as well as anything you want to pin from any of the vendors listed hereLink your Pinterest board to the linky at the bottom of this page and you could win a HUGE prize package!  (yes, I promise to tell you more about that in just a moment…)

So, I realize not everyone is into Pinterest, and I know some of you are avoiding it like the plague ( ;) ), so how about joining me at today’s Twitter Party?!

#2 – Twitter Party

I thoroughly enjoy Twitter Parties!  And something really neat about this one is the timing!  That’s right…this one isn’t at night when I like to be spending my time with my family, but rather during nap time (2pm EST)!

One of the best ways to follow a Twitter Party is to use TweetChat.  You sign in with your Twitter handle (mine is @raising_arrows) and password and then type in the hashtag you want to follow - #hsttd – TweetChat keeps you updated and adds the hashtag for the party automatically.

If you’d like to join me for the Twitter Party this afternoon at 2pm EST, don’t hesitate to holler at me if you need help following along – the last person I helped through the party actually won one of the prizes!  (Click here for more info on the Twitter Party)

#3 – Facebook Party

This party begins tomorrow (12/6) at 9pm EST on the Teach Them Diligently Facebook page.  It’s a “Progressive Party”, so it will move to the Homeschool Mosaics Facebook page and then to the Apologia Facebook page after that.  The winner of the Pinterest board will be announced during this time too!

So, speaking of winning…

What is the prize package for the winner of the Pinterest board contest?

*One year of Science Curriculum from Apologia (winner’s choice)
*A Family Registration to one of the Teach Them Diligently Conventions
*A Complete Set of recordings from the Teach Them Diligently Convention of your choice

(I told you it was HUGE!)

There will also be TONS of prizes handed out at both the Twitter Party and the Facebook Party, so you won’t want to miss those either!

Put on a little Christmas music, grab a cup of hot chocolate, and join in the fun! See you there!

  1. oh my – I just felt like I had stumbled upon a blog in Russian or something – almost hahaha. Someday I guess I’ll *have to* get educated in all this Twitter and the like stuff (hmm, or maybe I don’t ;-)). Anyway, comment without anything to say really, other than I felt veeeeeery old all of sudden, I have NO.IDEA. what you’re talking about in about half of the words there, LOL. But it sounds like fun stuff going on anyway:):)
