This weekend I’m at the Teach Them Diligently Convention in Omaha, Nebraska! Most of my family is joining me, and we are beyond excited! (Have I ever mentioned that I am a homeschool convention junkie?!  My husband and I go to conventions as dates!)

This weekend, I’ll be speaking twice –
2 pm on Friday – 10 Steps to a Peaceful Home
9:30 am on Saturday – Creating the Perfect Schedule

These sessions are based on my ebooks:

10 Days to a Peaceful Home (oh, if only we had 10 days to hang out at Teach Them Diligently!)
The Homemaker’s Guide to Creating the Perfect Schedule

Definitely topics near and dear to my heart!  You can see the rest of the Omaha schedule here, and remember, if you would like to purchase the audios from the convention, you can do so via Resounding Voice.  An entire convention of audios is only $99!  Right now, only the Spartanburg audios are available, but keep checking back!

By the way, my friend Jeanette Wood (aka Mrs. Joseph Wood) from Covenant Ranch Trucking is speaking as well!  Her workshop is entitled: Helping Children Gain Optimum Health Through the Use of Whole Foods. Jeanette is a wealth of knowledge with such a sweet spirit, so this session will definitely be a good one.

I also wanted you to know that if you sign up for Covenant Ranch’s email newsletter giving you Azure deals and resources, you will be entered to win a $100 gift certificate!  You can also have a chance at another $100 gift certificate by signing up for text alerts from Covenant Ranch.

My middle children will be attending the Battle For Truth Children’s Program, and my oldest son will be attending the Four:12 Teen Track.  They are very excited, and I’m pleased that Teach Them Diligently offers a solid program for both children and teens.

Oh, and in case you are wondering, we still haven’t cut Creed’s hair, so be on the lookout for the fuzzy-haired baby!  We call him Crazy-haired Creed.

If you weren’t able to attend one of the big TTD conventions, Teach Them Diligently has mini-conventions called Marketplaces in 9 locations this summer.

These are only $15 and include a Mom’s Retreat sampler, deep discounts on homeschool curriculum, and several well-known homeschool speakers!  Marketplaces are a fantastic way to get homeschool refreshment and homeschool currciulum at a great price!

If you’ll be in Omaha this weekend, come find me!  If not, I hope to see you soon at another Teach Them Diligently event!  By the way, did you see the 2014 locations???

  1. My baby had this long dark hair and I couldn’t part with it for the longest time. Then when my husband cut it, there was blond underneath! So I have all these cute pictures with his long brown hair and now with his blond.

    • Oh wow! I think I would be heartbroken if it was blond underneath. I’ve always wanted a brown haired little boy! I guess he’d just match my other blondies! :)

  2. I’m looking forward to seeing you at the convention. I’m not sure yet which one of your sessions I’m going to be at. It’s so hard to pick when there are SO many good speakers! But I will definitely be coming to one of yours.

  3. I have a question: would a homeschooling conference be a good place to get information to help someone decide if they would like to homeschool? I do not have any children yet, but am very intrigued by homeschooling and wonder if it is something God is calling my fiance and I to do for our children someday. Would it be beneficial to go to a conference to help us in our decision? Or does it lend more to those who already home school.

    • Yes! Especially a Teach Them Diligently convention where the conference is not focused on curriculum, but rather focused on the heart of homeschooling.

  4. I saw you there!! You looked like you were on a mission with your little one in the stroller, so I decided not to bother you by introducing myself. I hope you had a good time!
