Many states require a Fine Arts credit for graduation, and colleges like to see Fine Arts on a transcript as a sign of a well-diversified student. However, many parents (especially those not so artistically inclined *ahem*) may find themselves at a loss as to how to help their homeschooled high schooler earn this credit.
Even if your state doesn’t require Fine Arts, more than likely it does require a number of electives, and if you have an artistically gifted student, you know it would benefit your child to make Fine Arts one of his or her electives.
That’s where See the Light’s Art Projects come in!
Art Projects meets the needs of See the Light families looking for more in-depth and more advanced art. (If you are looking for a more basic art approach for multiple ages, please check out my review of their Art Class DVDs!) Art Projects provides 1/2 credit in Fine Arts when used as a standalone product, but it is simple to turn it into a full 1 credit by adding in field trips to art museums or research papers or other See the Light DVDs. (See this PDF for more information and the breakdown of half credit versus full credit.)
You can watch the short video below to see some of the projects your student will be studying and recreating. And as always, See the Light points back to the Creator and HIS masterful work!
See the Light has been our choice art curriculum for many, many years now! I would love for you to join the See the Light family, especially if you have a child who could benefit from an art program that provides tons of useful instruction without a lot of hassle on the parent to put together lesson plans and find tutors and art classes outside the home.
And…
It is my pleasure to be able to give away a
Boxed Set of the Art Projects DVDs
to one of my readers! YIPPEE!

HI Amy,
We have never done formal art training, and I have a daughter who will be beginning high school this year. This would be perfect for her to get the fine arts credit, and I the great thing is I can re-use it for my 7 other kids coming along behind her! We don’t have tons of wiggle room budget-wise for “extras” like art. Thank you so much for hosting the giveaway!
