You may have noticed a few blog changes over the last few weeks. You probably noticed a few hiccups too. Such is the case when you do any sort of blog redesign, and this redesign has been a long time coming.
First off, is a new header from Adieu Designs. The butterfly is a stylized “E” in memory of my little Emily. I love how it feels like a signature with a little whimsy!
I also changed themes. Google kept telling me I needed something more mobile responsive (which makes sense because many of you are reading Raising Arrows from your mobile devices), so I changed to a theme that looked better for the mobile reader. (The name of the theme is Modern Blogger from StudioPress.)
You’ll also notice my sidebar is changing (it’s still a work in progress). I have a new photo and bio write-up that I created myself. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
I’m also in the process of making the other things in my sidebar more in line with the design. Again, it’s a slow process, but I’m enjoying it!
I know a few of you noticed that your emails contained what’s called truncated feed – meaning only part of the post was there, requiring you to click over to read the rest. That was something that happened when the theme switched over. It’s switched back to full feed so you can once again enjoy a full post in your inbox. (But, please, don’t let that stop you from clicking over to comment!)
There are lots of new things on the horizon for Raising Arrows.net, but that’s another post! Until then, come on by the blog and let me know what you think! I’ve added a Homemaking tab to the navigation bar, and I’d love to hear your ideas on what you’d like to see on Raising Arrows!
