Every year, I look forward to the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle! You see, years ago, I decided to consider Homemaking and Homeschooling my full time job and something worth investing in. I committed (along with my husband’s encouragement) to invest in products, resources, and tools that furthered my career!I carefully look over any bundles that come through my inbox to decide if they should be a part of my continuing education. The Ultimate Homemaking Bundle ALWAYS makes the list because when I consider the price ($29.97) and then research the products that meet my Needs List, the value is always there!
Not to mention the fact that my book So Many Littles, So Little Time is in the mix this year!
Now, let me share with you my Needs List this year so you can see how I make decisions when I look at the resources within bundle sales:
I need to be more CONSISTENT WITH MY BIBLE STUDY.
I need to RECONNECT as a FAMILY.
I need to learn to LOVE COOKING again.
I need to get my home and homeschool ORGANIZED.
So, as I looked through the bundle, I was able to go category by category and see if any of the resources spoke to these needs.
Bible Study Time.
I’ve struggled to find a Bible Study method I really identify with. I was doing great with it when I was a part of a women’s Bible Study over the summer, but then I joined an online study, and fell flat because it just wasn’t a method that resonated with me. When I opened up Bible Study Methods: 7 Ways in 7 Days (retails for $29.00), I was thrilled to find all kinds of suggestions, and ended up finding one that fit me perfectly! (#7, in case you’re curious!)
I also really liked the look of the resource Write Through the Word! It is phenomenal! Jen even has videos to help you understand the concept and jump into a more intentional time in the Word of God!
There has been quite a bit of upheaval and changes in our family life, and I’m anxious to reconnect as a family with traditions and feasts, and fun!
The Marriage Builder Toolkit gave me specific things to pray for my husband and ideas for helping us reconnect as a couple.
The Family Culture Pack and the Year Round Holiday Planner are exactly the tools I needed to brainstorm adding in more traditions into the fabric of our family.
In the last few years, I have really lost my enjoyment of preparing meals for our family. I don’t know if it has to do with trying to lose weight or burnout or a combination of both, but I desperately need to get back to making meals that mean something. Some of our best family memories have been shared around the table, and I’ve been searching for a way to get back there.
That’s where my dear (in-real-life) friend Sarah’s 3 month Freezer to Slow Cooker Subscription came in! When we were in the hospital with Mercy, she came down and had my girls make a week’s worth of F2SC meals lickety-split! My girls were super impressed by how easy it was, and I was impressed by how tasty they were! This is a $29 value all by itself!
This is an ongoing struggle with a large family. This many people in a household tends to equal a lot of stuff that constantly needs to be decluttered and organized! However, I’m pretty picky about what kind of decluttering resources I invest in. So many of them are just useless and talk WAY too much about the “theory” of decluttering. I already know WHY I need to declutter! I need the MOTIVATION to do it!
While there were some decluttering and organizing products in the bundle that weren’t my style, a couple really fit what I needed! The first was The Ultimate Cleaning Guide which was thorough and incredibly inspiring to me! The other was Organize Your Homeschool in 20(ish) Days. This book lays out an easy to follow method of working through all of your homeschooling resources and supplies in less than a month (great summer project!).
If you’ve stuck with me to the end of this, you can see why I felt like this year’s Ultimate Homemaking Bundle was well worth the small investment! I’d encourage you to head over to the UHB site where you can look at the entire bundle and make your own informed decision.
(Should you choose to purchase, the links in this post allow our family to make a small commission that doesn’t cost you any extra. We really appreciate your support!)
