Making Money from your Blog Isn€™t Wrong, Greed Is
When to Quit, When to Take a Break
After 6 years of blogging, you can believe there have been times when I have been burned out. There have been times when I’ve wanted to quit. There have even been times when I wished the internet would just go away!
There is so much good online, but there is also…
A blog can easily overwhelm you to the point you wonder,
Should I quit?
Should I step away for a while?
Again, all of this is truly between you and the Lord; however, I want to offer you some thoughts to ponder:
1. How is your relationship with the Lord? Is blogging helping or hindering that relationship?
2. How is your relationship with your family? Is blogging helping or hindering those relationships?
3. Do you feel bogged down by your blog? Are you out of ideas or feeling like you are never caught up?
4. Is your blog taking an excessive amount of time? Do you need to streamline or drop some projects?
The decision between quitting a blog and taking a break is so very personal, there is no way I could tell you exactly how to make that decision. However, I will tell you, I bathe everything in prayer and bring my concerns and issues to my husband at all times.
Sometimes all it takes is a break to gain perspective and refreshment. Sometimes a blogging break needs to be permanent.
