Listened to the podcast today; thanks! I think I definitely need to give more thought to my children’s individuality (preferring quiet spaces, etc.) when thinking through our day.
When you were talking about delight-directed homeschooling, I have a question. What do you do if all your kids want to do is use electronics after our homeschool work is over? I want them to be interested in something other than watching videos online, or playing Minecraft, etc., but it is becoming such a struggle with five strong-willed kids, especially my older three boys. Do you have any advice for managing electronics so it doesn’t get out of control? Please help!

We have a rule here that during weekdays computer time is only for projects – no games. They only get to play games on Saturday. My 16 yo has more leniency on that, but only after hours (once little people are in bed), but she also has plenty of outside interests, so I don’t mind allowing her extra time. I don’t mind if the kids want to type a story or do graphic design, but no games. Consider what parameters you would like to see, and come up a plan to put their actual game time in its proper place.
